PoliticalChimera -- Ayn Rand DNA Spliced with John of Patmos DNA
My understanding is that the neo-cons are strongly influenced by Ayne Rand's philosophy of Objectivism.

Now this philosophy is decidedly materialist and is based (more or less) on the ideas of survival of the fittest and rational self-interest. This is a simplistic description, obviously.

But I think it's sad, ironic and almost grotesque that the population of fundamentalist Christians in this country have been co-opted and used as a political tool by the neocons who hold Rand's dogma as human truth.

Now, try taking an apocalyptic belief in the return of Jeezus (for good white Krisschun Murikans only), and splice it together with DNA from Ayn Rand and you have an almost schizoid ethos of aggressively self-righteous devourers (or enablers) -- powered by God and Manifest Destiny.

P.S. If you're religious, please don't be offended by my characterization. If you are one of the manufactured Kisschun Murican triumphalists whose intellectual life has been truncated to such a degree that you don't know the difference between fascism and God's will, please feel free to to be very offended.
