I know this kind of post happens about once every 20 minutes in response to all of the attacks back and forth, but I truly believe this process in the primary season is good. We really need to see people activated and charged up to vote. period. I can guarantee Bush and company will alienate even more people and groups by the time Sept/Oct 04 rolls around, and we need people already mobilized and ready to fully participate in the process.

I still haven't given my undying support to any one candidate. I feel both Kerry and Dean are the strongest cases out there for challenging an incumbent. I LOVE the passion Dean himself displays and the passion he evokes from all corners of the Democratic party. When it was Bradley/Gore I was bored to tears.

Let's stay focused on the process of collecting information about the candidates and look to win some of the moderate votes and fence-sitting types who may vote GOP one day and Dem another day. They need to see no matter what develops, that our party is the one representing the saner portion of our society.

They need to see that our vitality and strength as a country as well as their personal interests depend upon not getting it wrong again. Or should I say...leaving ABSOLUTELY NO DOUBT as to the will of the people.

Create uniting messages for people rather than dividing ones. I am sure as much as you support Dean or Gephardt or whoever you favorite is such as Kucinich, we can find more common ground between them than bitter enmities.

FIGHT ON, DEMOCRATS! Bring the USA back to the people!

6. yes...and I like how the attacks are diffused
across the heavy number of strong candidates. Gephardt and Edwards have fallend somewhat out of the spotlight, but that doesn't mean the GOP isn't watchful for any move in the polls by them. It's terrific. They don't and won't know who to train their guns on for some time to come. Meanwhile, contribute to your favorite candidate or the the general funds for "EVENTUAL DEM NOMINEE TBD". That is one of the best ideas out there. Build up a fund for the last man standing and then he goes into battle with the evildoers of this country with a warchest filled to the brim.

5. Yes!
Let's keep in mind the main thing is we've got to give Bush and the neo-con fascists the bum's rush out of the white house. Give us back the USA!

7. I agree, I like them all pretty darn well...
There are times I can't even come on to DU because of all the infighting over the Dem candidates. It really freaks me out.

I only hope that whoever does come out on top for the Dems doesn't tippie-toe around Bush and just goes straight for the jugular from the get-go.

And, once we know who the Dem candidate is, they need to somehow get the message to ditch all those damn hired consultants. It's what got Gore in trouble and what is currently plaguing Kerry, I think, and Clark should beware as well. Dean seems to be staying away from that model so far, at least it seems to me.

A small, trusted, tight-knit group of advisers, then go with your gut. That would be my advice.
