Bev Harris
I have been waiting over a week for responses from Bev Harris via personal e-mails and messages from this board. But now i'm beginning to think something has happened? Is she that busy? Or has something happened to her (sickness, ect). Niether have I seen any posts here on D/U authored by her. Anybody out there have a clue. I'm worried.

4. Well........
I guess that's not so bad, but she had been posting regularly to this board, then all of a sudden it seemed to have ended. And with the lack of response to e-mails and info she had requested I send her I was beggining to get suspicious that something might have happened to her.

5. I heard she was kicked off DU a few weeks back.
Couldn't figure out why though. So maybe that's why you don't see her post here any more.

8. lysergik is correct

i too have had direct word that she is fine and working hard but is currently away from email/phone.

she will be back and while she's away I know that other activists at www.blackboxvoting.org are keeping up with current research projects. if you've tried to *send* info (ie. version #s for voting machines purchased in your county) it would be best to post the info there.

9. Bev is OK
Thanks for everyone's concern.

I've had a few, BRIEF words with her this week.

Hunkered down and trying to get the book DONE.

Understand how hard that is. New stuff crops up every day. More evidence that makes the case. It is very, very hard to say, "Enough."

Personally, I think there will be a sequal to this.

She is also fielding media requests and the like.

I am glad she is limiting her time other places for the moment.

Once the book comes out, get ready to rumble!

11. Thanks!
Thanks to all who replied to this post, quite frankly I had assumed the worst, as she is in my opinion a "target" because of extremely controversial, yet necessary work she is doing.
If we ever have accountable elections again in this country, it will be through the action and efforts of Bev Harris and those like her.

16. Yes
I don't know if she is aware of how revered and respected she is to myself and others on this forum. How rare and blessed to even be associated with the likes of true patriots such as this.

14. If something happened, I am sure
the news would spread like wildfire.

Because she quickly decentralized the evidence, she made it impossible to kill the story by killing her. Very smart.

Maybe she's just feeling a little blue about Diebold's press release this week about their $28 million sale of voting machines to San Diego county.

It's really got to hurt when nobody buys what you're selling. Speaking of which, does anyone know whether the free book is finally for sale yet? It's almost christmas, and whatever am I going to get for all my loved ones?

JC

edited because I always post links wrong -- I should really stick to computer programming

19. $28 million? San Diego should wait a few years...
They'll be selling these machines to hobbyists for five bucks apiece.

25. San Diego could hire a lot of firemen and purchase a lot of
equipment for 28 million. Amazing what they DO and don't have the funds for :eyes:

23. How about phones with caller ID......
.....so your 'loved ones' can tell in advance that it's you calling?
(They're cheaper than the book and I'm sure they'd appreciate it!)

Well at least your honesty about your inability to even cut and paste a link without screwing it up explains a lot about your views on how well the Diebold source code is written! LOL! :)

22. Want to bet...
...San Diego got a deal? We'll give you the printers IF we don't have to do it until the 2006 deadline. Giving free rein to who knows what in 2004.

I'd get a little disclosure going on some San Diego county officials and election offices.

This one smells from three states away....
