Propaganda fast and furious today!
TV was thick with BFEE crap today. CSPAN1 replaying RNC summer meeting in an endless loop, CSPAN2 book showcasing some butthead who wrote a book lauding Prescott "Hitler's Banker" Bush, Discovery channel running bit on Bad-boy Saddam, National Geographic explorer running a bit by a star-struck reporter imbedded with Marines, pundits out-the-ass downplaying the 911 report (and omitted Saudi info). BFEE media swine are working overtime. Oh yes, don't forget the California recall nut-jobs giving each other hummers! I took a long walk and a cold shower!

1. Corporate media works for the BFEE
I'm personally waiting for the day that a corporation buys a city, then a state.

2. How clearly we can see it all.
They "hide" things by doing them right in our faces. Then we think, it can't possibly be true because its too obvious. Most Americans, being blinded by greed, ignorance, and arrogance, have failed to realize that WE have become the bad guys. We are wearing the black hat, not the white one. Its such a part of our psyche, 7th Cavalry coming to the rescue and all, that we just can't see that we are no longer wearing the white hat.

It's all so painful to watch, isn't it?

4. I agree, today it was very depressing
to see the resistance in this country to the emergence of the truth.

Nobody, it seems, wants to hear it. Everybody wants their fucking heads to be in the sand, their asses high in the air, and Bushco's cock shoved firmly up their rectums.

How, I ask, can we get rid of the current media situation? It's the media's fault as much as anyone's.

We can't vote them out.

We need a r-e-v-o-***t-i-o-n against the media.

They need to be removed. And replaced.

In this case the ends would justify the means. We have a constitutional right to a free press, damnit.

And the fairness doctrine needs to be reinstalled.

5. Frustrated people always find a way!
Internet is one outlet. Alternative press is another. Word of mouth (via phone) works. Guerilla media will rise up and fight the beast!

6. not to worry...there'll be plenty of good stuff coming up this week
Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 01:34 AM by amen1234
in Washington DC real-life drama...give it some time...by Tuesday...the place will be HOT....

reporters and others need a breather on weekends...this past week was a real showstopper of sudden and unexpected HIGH drama from the White House...the amazing bullet-riddled bloated bloody human heads prominently displayed as trophy kill by the boy-king...went so OVER-THE-TOP that the whole wide world news medias were pre-emptively pushed out into the land of insanity...they sort of need a whole day just to think about handling the concept that the pResident of the USA is clearly 'insane' on TV, in front of the whole wide world...and the Wall St Journal saying that the scandal is HUGE: there is a "seamless" merging of bush*'s TWO intelligence failures: 9/11 and Iraq....and the release of the 9/11 report missing all the saudi stuff...real stunning breathtaking amazing stuff...

I felt that a lot of planned shows had to be suddenly struck out and replaced because of the inappropriateness of showing them at this particular point in time...my local pharmacy was packed with nervous people buying drugs ( I live inside the beltway)...

for example, if they had planned for a show interviewing condi about the wonder 'glorious' bush* effort in Iraq...and suddenly, bush* human heads trophies, condi blasted to oblivian on the front page of the WP, and 10 soldiers killed....so they pushed that idea aside...

and "Ambassador" Bremer is in town tauting his 'glorious' efforts and the "happy Iraqis", but with this sudden turn of events, he can't be put on...in fact, reTHUGlicans were anxious to talk about anything OTHER THAN the Iraq quagmire....

so, it was just a fill in ....the press is eating shrub and his minions alive...so more will show up just as soon as everybody catches their breathes...stay tuned....

9. I don't know about you, but I saw the corpse video at dinnertime,
all putty and sutures and blood, the tape repeated ad nauseum (pun unintended), these manipulated, reconstructed corpses with rhyming names, names repeated over and over and over for days, almost cheerfully like puppets in a children's television program.

15. seriously, just to come up with such a display is really showing
a depraved mind...it's not anything a normal level-headed person would even consider...of course, it's not too far-fetched to imagine that bush* is on heavy prescription drugs from the stress of all this failure, and/or heavily involved in illegal drugs again and/or drinking...he looks really bad on TV, irritated and agitated in his press conference with the Palistinean PM....

13. I hope you're right!
I'd hate to see a rash of "suicides". (Kelly? McMillen?) Is there a John Dean lurking in the woods? Where do you hide when the 'Secret Witness' program belongs to the enemy? What will they come up with to top the corpses?

14. yes, a John Dean will step forward...yes, bush* is loosing it

yes, more people will jump ship...lots of people already left (and it's particularly bad at this time, because bush* doesn't have ari to strategize for him anymore...the pentagoon spokewomen, victoria clarke quit, cheney's PR quit, mary madelin...these people had their finger on the pulse and now, alone, the WH is publically making a REAL spectacle of themselves with no experienced handlers to present their case)...there's been a whole slew of others gone too, can't think of all cause it's too late...not that it really matters to this scandal, but EPA christy whitman left...

cheer up...I found the whole week rather uplifting...really feel that the shrub ship has only got one oar in the water, and is taking on water fast...

16. Gosh, I hope you're right.
Saturday I felt this kind of optimism, felt like I wanted to drink some champagne with a bunch of DUers and celebrate that a corner had been turned.

Now I feel sort of icky and scared ...

7. It has been like that for almost two years now. And quite frankly,
while I respect our military, I don't care if I don't see another tank/marine/military analyst

or CORPSE

again for a very long time.

Do you ever get the feeling that we are living in some very strange historical times?

Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 01:48 AM by amen1234

Iraq...was he on just one show or two ? it would be great to read the transcripts to get his exact words...

at one point, he was talking about "flying over Baghdad" and absolutely certain that there was the very real possibility that all those houses could be filled with anthrax and other bioweapons ...

he talked about the horror of the torture chambers and that he went there and found people wandering around and LOOKING FOR THEIR HANDS...and he spoke over and over about EVIL and EVIL and how happy iraqis are all over the place...it sounded almost as insane as shrub...they must all sit around at the WH and talk about this stuff all the time...like sitting in a fishbowl...
