1. While I voted for the 9/11 bin Laden charter flight... |

I also believe that George W. Bush* is a Christian. He says that he is, and to be honest, his actions are not that different than millions of people who have also called themselves Christians throughout history. Untold numbers of people have been tortured and killed at the hands of Christians, so *'s attitudes and behavior are not unusual at all.

3. Calling one self a Christian is not the same as being one. |
|
Always the actions speaks best.Hospitals have a group of Jews that go around and help people while you are ill. they are the 'best Christians' I have ever seen.Good people are good from what they do, not the name they use.I lived in Saudi once and met some very good people.

7. That is all fine and well, but... |
|
you are begging the question. What is a Christian? Liberal Christians claim that *, Falwell, etc. are not "real" Christians. Conservative ones say that Clinton, Gore, etc. aren't.
To a third party, how are we to know the difference? I can only go by what people claim they are. Martin Luther was THE key figure in the establishment of Protestantism, yet he was a rabid anti-Semite. Was he a Christian?

9. There are right-wing chrisitians who are sincere in their beliefs |
|
But I doubt Bush is one of them. I doubt he even believes in a higher power at all. I am not questioning his brand of Chrisitanity. I simply think it is all a Rovian act, designed to appeal to the masses of mouth-breathing, unthinking 700-Club type Christians out there.

5. I got news for you.... |

The ballots in Florida were recounted. That's where all the "hanging chad" jokes from late-night talk show hosts came from.
Before the Bush vs. Gore ruling, one of the main questions was when the results of the recount had to be in. However, with the Bush appointment, the official counting was stopped as irrelevent. Unofficial counting continued however, with stories of "Bush won anyway" appearing in newspapers days later.
So that could also be a right answer.
