Bush "We're on a scavenger hunt for terror."
He actually made this statement during this morning's press conference.

This statement says it all. War, death, and destruction are just a game to this man. Human sacrifice means absolutely nothing to him and everything is just a jolly competitive pastime from which he and his powerful cronies reap rewards while ordinary humans pay the ultimate price.

The hell of Iraq, the suffering of our troops and the Iraqi people, the bankrupting of our country for Carlyle, Halliburton, etc.--to George W. Bush these are just a part of his playful "scavenger hunt." Giggle, giggle, smirk, smirk. Oh, daddy, this is so much fun!!!!!

Is Barbara Bush keeping score?

3. I only heard part of the press conference,
as I was running errands, but I was absolutely shocked at how 'medicated' he sounded! Was he having a particularly rough day? You'd think he would have been bouncing from the rooftops, but he really sounded like he was just dragging ass, barely able to squeeze out a phrase at a time.

I know he usually sounds like a 'moran,' but this seemed different.

PLEASE let me be a witness to debates between bush and Clark! If for no other reason, that alone should be reason enough for you all to vote for Clark! :)

4. I'm waiting for the transcript because
there were several other things said during that press conference (especially during the scavenger hunt response) that were jaw droppingly stupid. I was only half watching, so I didn't get them written down.

5. This could be the first accurate thing he's said ever.
From the OED: definition 2b of "scavenger": A person who does corrupt or disgusting work; a dishonourable person.

Seems about right.

8. Heh...a scavenger hunt...
Jumping over fences, running through peoples' backyards, rooting through their things, trampling their gardens, dropping bombs on them and blowing them into iddy-bitty little pieces.

Yep. It's a scavenger hunt.
