In other news, while we fight each other
One of the warhawks at school today denied that Bush and the war supporters were pushing Saddam being connected to 9/11. My :eyes: rolled so many times. I was happy to know though that I wasnt the only one opposed to the war in that class but many hawks, sigh to victory in '04 guys, :toast:
I am just astounded that this guy denied that, it was so often heard.

1. You should ask
Why did we go to war (actullay, invasion and occupation) there?

You had Bush and Cheney and Rumsfeld all saying that Iraq was an imminent threat. Still no WMD. (but, I'm sure we'll find them, oh we did, Saddam had a pistol.)

Even yesterday, Bush was saying 9/11 "changed everything" when asked about Saddam. There is zero evidence of a Saddam-9/11 connection. Zero. None.

My son's high school class sounds much the same as yours, he is passionate like you but gets worn down by all the a-hole hawks.

I was the same way in school about Vietnam. Turns out we were right then. We're right this time, too. Keep up the resistance.

2. This was philosophy class so talk was brief
I get worn down too, I need to work on my passion, I am often quiet and most people dont know my side. Yeah it really pissed me off when the kid denied it, it was so clear.

3. Heh well stick around JK!
This place should give you lots of practice in thinking on your feet.

Do you have a right wing family member you could debate with? It would be good practice. Sometimes it's just a matter of coming up with the right facts quickly in order to shatter their arguments.

:) They knows the truth. I don't say much in class in general due to being very shy.
