Did anyone catch this? Hilarious!
Edited on Wed Dec-17-03 07:22 PM by KissMyAsscroft

I was flipping through channels and caught the Bush interview, with Diane Sawyer.

She was asking him how he found out the news of Saddam's capture, and he said something like..."Well, I was reading a book about Ben Franklin when someone told me there was a secure call from Rumsfeld"

LOL!

I fell out of my chair laughing. I dont remember if it was Ben Franklin, I dont have the transcript but it was the most pretentious shit I've heard him spew in awhile. How can people find this fuckhead appealing?

Yeah, you are so Presidential you f*cking douchebag.

*edited for cursing....that last f word was a little over the top.

7. It was "Ben and Me". . .
A New and Astonishing Life Of Benjamin Franklin As Written by His Good Mouse Amos

Check it out. I read a few decades ago myself, found it quite enjoyable. I suspect, though, that Pickles had to help our pretzeldent with the non-picture parts of the page.

11. About as likely
as Dubya ever reading the words written about his favorite philosopher, Jesus, who reportedly said stuff like: blessed are the meek, turn the other cheek, return good for evil, it's easier for a camel to get through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to get into heaven.

12. I saw that too.
The only thing that simian knows about Ben Franklin is seeing his picture on a bill before he rolled it up to do a line.

16. this man is the most dangerous liar ever to occupy the White House
Edited on Wed Dec-17-03 07:07 PM by Marianne
He is armed an dangerous and he has no idea of right from wrong, lie or truth. He is, indeed, a sociopath and he, indeed, needs to be ejected out of the White House . He is a fraud and he is harmful to this country.

19. Smirk.
I liked how they wrote his script to make him seem as the humble leader that he claims to be.

He said:"I haven't made any decisions on Cabinet except for the Vice President. I mean, everybody's got to understand that — that their job is for four years, and I'll make those decisions, if [Emphasis added] I'm fortunate enough to win.".

Unfortunately he couldn't help smirking at the end of that sentence when, unable to keep his hubris in check, he realized that (in his mind) he made a funny and he ended up looking like the arrogant prick that he really is.

21. Or he knows something we don't know.
Quoting myself:
unable to keep his hubris in check

Or, for the more conspiracy minded, perhaps he simply knows something about his chances that the rest of us don't know.
