Do not judge people from WWII.
We flattened cities,we killed civilians,we even shot prisoners. If you talk to our parents etc they did not know if we would win the war. They knew what was going on in Nanking and Poland and they knew we HAD to win. So don't say judge them,it was a street fight, and the last man standing won.

yes, but
that was a war for our very survival. We're now fighting for some black stuff you pump up from the ground.

I won't judge anyone who fought in WWII, but you damn well better believe I'll condemn anyone who voluntarily signed up to "kick their ass and steal their gas".

2. No I do not equate this bullshit with WWII.
Maybe Afghanistan, but not Iraq. This is a bogus war run by liars.

3. Thank you for this post.
This is a good example of why people need to pay attention to history and also to honor the stories of our elders.

5. Why would you think we would? WWII had the best reasons..
of all the wars we've ever fought, at least it is right up there with the American Revolution & the Civil War.

There are many reasonable ways to look at it, I suppose, but judging WWII vets in a negative light would be totally wrong. It is a good thing that Hitler was stopped.
