help! I'm bring forced to watch Faux "News"!

Here I am at my in-laws. They're watching Faux News. What wonderful xmas-eve entertainment. :eyes:

A couple observations:

-All the news anchors keep saying "Merry Christmas." Are they doing that on other networks? It sounds like the kind of thing Faux would try to cram down our throats.

-I saw an ad for the Weekly Standard. I have *never* seen an ad for that rag on any other TV station. Fair and balanced, my ass.

Faux "News" : wholly without merit.

5. I feel your pain.

I'm about to go over to my parents' house and my dad watches Faux all the time. At least I live nearby, so I can go home when I want to. Think you can talk them into a game of cards or something?

6. Take up smoking...and take a walk...

That's what I've done. I used to smoke a pipe and whenever I got stuck at in-laws' houses and felt I wanted out, I'd announce I was going to have a pipe and that I was taking a walk so as not to "smell up" the house.

I'd take my pipe and walk, and be gone for an hour or so...

If I was in a town with friends, I'd be gone longer...
