What is the difference between flip flopping and changing a posistion? |
|
Did Kucinich flip flop on his decision for abortion? I don't think so. He did a re-evaluation of his morals and came to a different perspective. The same if for Gephardt. He was anti-abortion before, but now he is pro-choice.

If any candidate besides Dean changes their position it's called Flip Flop. If Dean changes positions, it's called "evolving"

Otherwise, most people realize that intelligent people, upon reviewing subject matter, often change their minds.

is just a flip. Changing them again would be a flip-flop. It may also be true that having flipped to a less favorable position one could be in the flip-flop zone.
