So I assume this mad-cow scare will be blamed on Clinton right? |
|
I heard it takes 4-5yrs for mad-cow to develop in the cow. The cow who tested for it in WA was 4yrs old. So that means the cow had the disease since '99, when yes, you guessed it, Bill Clinton was pres. He should have known in '99 that this cow would develop or had mad-cow. I can't believe another lapse by the Clinton Admin. that has put Americans at risk. This tears it! Just like w/ the Lincoln assassination. Clinton clearly ignored the warnings from his own secret service that were telling him John Wilkes Booth would likely hurt Lincoln. Nothing. This is after the debacle at Calvary where Jesus ended up on the cross. The State Dept "clearly" warned Clinton, while he was on vacation at Martha's Vineyard, that the Romans were targeting Jesus for crucifixion and going to let Barrabas go. He did zippo on that one too! I'm beside myself!!!

2. Clinton probaby does deserve partial credit. |
|
Some posted something about a mad-cow related issue going back to 1989.
But George Bush has had three years to deal with the problem, and records are now being withheld under his watch.
However, this mad cow scare can more precisely be blamed on corporate corruption, which encompasses Clinton and Bush both, but comes down hardest on Bush's head.

7. Don't forget Congress... |
|
and their activities to reduce agricultural inspections.
There's enough blame to go around on this one, and as I said in another thread, the real question now is just what the hell are we going to do about it?
Veneman was a lobbyist for the beef people and likely can't be trusted to deal properly with this. She's selling platitudes, and not solutions at this point. Is she that stupid or callous to not know how that worked in Britain?
Jeebus, we don't even have a lab that can properly identify mad-cow and have to send the samples off to England! How the hell were they doing even the minimal inspections they claim they were doing?
Close the feed loopholes and stop worrying about terrists poisoning our food while the food producers are doing well enough at it on their own.

5. Yup - jes like 9*11, Iraq and the economy |
|
for starters -
I'm sure when something bad happens in or to this nation that this pResident, who's been in office for three years now, is responsible for, he'll stand up and say "the buck stops here."
Guess we just have to wait for all of Clinton's disasters to play out first.

9. Clinton tried to overhaul the meat industry. |
|
but the repugnant congress fought him, and then Bush threw CLintons plans out when Bush stole the office. This is in no way Clinton's fault. This is what happens when you de-regulate.
I am personally affected by this mad cow madness. I live in the Portland Oregon area and have bought meat from the stores that sold that mad cow meat. I may have eaten it and I am sooo pissed right now.

but if Clinton hadn't got that handjob in the oval office while a handful of people were dying of Mad Cow in UK and France, we sure wouldn't be in the sad mess we're in today, now would we?

Are you being sarcastic? Do you really think that Clintons sex life prevented a Republican congress from imposing stricter regulations on meat processing?
