USA Today spinning to help Rush protect his medical records.
Murky medical records law hampers patient safety
Fri Dec 26, 6:09 AM ET Add Op/Ed - USATODAY.com to My Yahoo!

Police Chief Drew Akings of Great Bend, Kan., hit a brick wall of silence when he tried to check on two murder suspects wounded in a shootout last May. Hospital officials refused even to say when the men would be discharged. "We worried these criminals might slip away, but protecting their privacy was more important to the hospital," he said. "It ultimately worked out, but it was very frustrating - and dangerous."
...
But the American Medical Association and other medical groups say fears that the government could play legalistic "gotcha" threaten to stifle the sharing of vital health information and put patients at risk.

They want us to believe that Rush is being treated unfairly--that it is the usual thing for medical records to NOT be turned over to law enforcement. LIARS! Rush Limbaugh is not being mistreated--he's being LET OFF THE HOOK FOR CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR!

1. What do you expect from SCREW S.A. TODAY?
All Republican Propaganda All The Time.

We know Rush is going to be let go, and no doubt he'll blame his addiction on Clinton's Cock, just like every other Nazi!

2. I just thought this was especially subtle propaganda
and I hate to think what other subtle mind control I might have not caught on to and assimilated. :-(

4. Article has nothing to do with RUSH
I don't think USA today wrote the article with the intention of hinting that Rush Limbaugh's medical records should be protected.

This article says nothing about Rush Limbaugh or obtaining his medical records. My interpretation of the report is that the new privacy laws are over zealously interpreted by hospitals worried about a law suit. I think the author was more considered about how criminals are erroneously protected by the new health care laws in order for hospitals to avoid lawsuits and fines

(from the article) Penalties for violations are staggering: as much as $250,000 in fines and 10 years in prison for using someone's health information for commercial advantage, personal gain or malicious harm (end quote)

The article does omit whether the police searching for information had a search warrant, which would indicate why the suspects were being protected. In Rush's case, wasn't a search warrant provided when obtaining his medical records?

Anyway, the idea that this article can be used to point out that RUSH's medical records are tossed around while murder suspects are protected like the president in England is so far of a stretch that it should be included in the drudge report, not Democratic underground.

5. A couple of years ago I would have said the same thing.
However, at this point, there is almost nothing evil about the Bush administration that I wouldn't believe.

I'm guessing that Karl Rove told them to write it. That's just a guess based on obsessively observing the BFEE's mind control tactics for more a couple of years.
