Steve Forbes on Lou Dobbs, Calls D-Candidates Useless Idiots
Edited on Mon Jul-28-03 11:29 PM by otohara
Mark Morrison, managing editor of BusinessWeek and Steve Forbes, editor in chief of Forbes share their views on the Dem candidates, who have all come out to rollback Shrubs Tax Cut.

Said the GOP must be thrilled to hear this, and 2004 will be another McGovern/Nixon - landslide.

Of course the spin of "these guys are raising taxes, just as the economy is turning around"

Said Joe Lieberman was the last holdout on the Tax Cut issue - and he used to be the smartest of the bunch.

I couldn't watch anymore - yuck!

Hubby's night off, he likes watching this garbage

1. Know it alls like Kudlow, Forbes, etc
have been predicting a recovery right around the corner since Fall 2001.

More important for the GOP -- they need to put people back to work. Bush said a few weeks ago his tax cuts would create "One Million New Jobs" -- which, while not an impressive number, will turn into "Read My Lips" if they don't materialize.

27. There WILL be more than 1 Million jobs!
You know...maids, gardeners, chauffers, butlers, poolboys, "Personal assistants", and the important kitchen help for the beliguered chef.

"One step forward and two steps back" isn't progress.

23. That number
That number, which is actually 1.4 million, or so I've read, is undercut by the fact that some jobs will be eliminated/created naturally.

26. jobs
Lou Dobbs said if there is an economic recovery it will be a jobless one and we need creation of jobs. Forbes ignored that comment. Wonder why? Could it be he has no interest in anyone who is not a millionaire?

4. More sneering from another hereditary nobody.
Yet another useless organism who serves as a fine argument for a 100% inheritance tax. Take away the privilege and the money, and he'd be bobbing around the economic waterline where he belongs.

Insipid, puerile, facile and snotty; this person should be in a sandbox squabbling over Tonka Toys with Tucker Carlson.

Isn't it tiresome how the right-wingers of privilege who've never had to struggle just LOVE to ridicule others? I'd call them soulmates of Junior, except he's really a nasty piece of work of a different order.

9. Didn't Steve Forbes inherit his wealth?
...From his dad, Malcolm Forbes?

Then, basically, all he knows about being wealthy is to be sure to be born to wealthy parents.

So what the hell right does he have speaking like some kind of expert on economics?

Isn't it interesting that all his positions on economic issues do everything to help rich heirs like himself, but nothing to help people who are jobless or on fixed incomes or trying to support a family on working wages?

12. Yes, his GAY father...
...whose grave he robbed his wealth from...he might as well have pissed all over that grave when he joined himself at the hip to the religiously insane right wing in his 2000 presidential bid...he's a shameful assclown...

11. And Steve Forbes is the same joke of a man...
...that in his 1996 presidential bid, was pro-choice and had a flat tax as his one and only campaign plank, but then in 2000, became stridently anti-choice, and there was nary a mention of his tax scheme. What a buffoon. Can't this man go find someplace to look robotic and practice blinking?

16. He tried..and failed miserably.
Forbes spent an estimated $30 million of his own money running for President in the last election. It got him nowhere. He dropped out of the race after finishing 3rd in the Delaware primary. John McCain came in 2nd in Delaware (Bush finished first), beating Forbes by 5 points. John McCain bested Forbes despite the fact that he spent no money or time campaigning in Delaware. Steve Forbes is no political strategist.

17. In a society even marginally different...
... than the one we live in today, Steve Forbes would be pushing a shopping cart down alleyways, searching for cans and bottles, mumbling to himself about the flat tax and how good life was on the plantation and scratching his ass with dirty-nailed fingers.

There's only one thing worse than a twerp... and that's a greedy twerp.

Cheers.

21. He Would Recognize A Useless Idiot, Wouldn't He?
He ran against one in the 2000 primaries. Given that he was beaten by a useless idiot, who is now the "president", wouldn't that make Steve Forbes a guy who couldn't even beat a useless idiot?
