Jesse Ventura's America cancelled
I can't believe they cancelled this show. Or can I.
It seems they only cancel shows with opposing views on the Iraq war.
Donahue and now Jesse.

Please write MSNBC and let them know that they made a mistake.
If we keep letting them cancel the opposing view we will never be heard.

Write feedback@msnbc.com and let them know you want progressive programming

2. MFNBC is such a joke
They can't keep a show worth watching for more than 6 months, but keep Imus in the Boring! And they wonder why NO ONE WATCHES THEM!!!!!

3. Jesse can be a SOB at times...
at MOST times actually, but you know, I don't think I've ever heard him lie about anything. I don't always agree with him, but at least he says what he thinks and doesn't try to sugar-coat shit.

7. He did as of last week when I was flipping through channels. . .
I've never really watched the show (didn't even know it existed to be honest) until I flipped past last week and he was lambasting the Bushco for their lies :).

5. I never saw the show. Can you enlighten me?
As a Minnesotan I'm not a big Jesse fan (although he did give local politicians and political parties the wake-up call they needed. Unfortunately they weren't answering the phone). What kind of content did he have on his show? Speaking against the Iraq war sounds like something he would do, but I haven't heard his opinion.

8. Jesse's show
I only caught it a few times befoe it was cancelled.

He asked the hard questions of his guests and audience.
Played devil's advocate and questioned our motives in Iraq.

Basically he made people think. Something Limbaugh and Hannity don't want you to do.

6. Jesse "The Dirtbag" Ventura cost us Wellstone's seat.
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 11:03 AM by gulliver
If that SOB hadn't thrown such a babyish hissy at the Wellstone Memorial, the Republicans would not have been able to sell it as a politically mean-spirited. Jesse helped the Republicans lie and kicked the Dems when they were down in 2002 after Wellstone's death. Ventura will always be "The Dirtbag" to me.

13. I'm not from Minnesota...
so I can't comment on his performance as governor. And I cant say that I heard him say that he advocated torture for prisoners. But, I did hear him say he was firmly against the drug war (primarily, pot). I thought it was smart that he advocates personal responsibility in drug use.
Sure, Ventura's a blowhard. But you have to admire that he doesn't give a sh*t about what other folks think of him and his opinions. Its refreshing to hear someone being so blatantly un-PC in their opinions.
