Children are not "people"??
Edited on Tue Dec-30-03 01:36 PM by SoCalDem
CNN just had a piece about arsenic (CCA) treated wood.. An EPA spokesman said the the wood (like is used in Decking and porches) is not dangerous to "people", but could cause "problems" in children :eyes:

Here's a link on the story.. could not find it on CNN website

1. Of course they're not people
You're not a full person until you can be a consumer.

only when you start spending your money on useless things are you considered an american citizen, and more importantly, a person.

4. Magnification is a good thing :)
I saw the dr yesterday, and he said "it's better".. I go back in 2 weeks. I don't notice the improvement, but at least it's not worse.. Drops 8 times a day now, instead of every hour:)

I have my screen res set to the lowest and have the magnify thing set at 300%.. I am getting by..

It still sucks to not be able to read anything without a magnifying glass, but I don't have a choice :)

Everyone here at DU has been super.. I have links and more links to explore..

5. Fetuses are people, though
After being squeezed out from the womb, they become Fodder Units for the Imperial Bush Machine...

6. maybe
this is the EPA's bumbling way of stating that a majority of scientific/health studies are conducted on adults instead of children?

7. Well of course not. Who would think of such a silly thing.
People have rights. Children don't have rights. They should be slinet until spoken to and work when we tell them to.

<sarcasm>
