Bush: Proof you can abuse drugs, cheat, lie and steal and become president |
|
Moral Superiority and Relativism
- Bush is living proof you can live a life of 'sin', abuse drugs, get mediocre grades, go AWOL from the service, practice insider trading and STILL become president of the United States. So much for our children being told the exact opposite for all these years.
- Remember back to the days when Republicans said Clinton had no 'moral authority' to be president? Remember when they asked: What will we tell the children?
- Now that one of their own is in office...the truth doesn't matter and what the children 'don't know won't hurt them'. The RWing moralists know that Bush* makes Clinton look like a boy scout...but NOW they can't say anything at the risk of looking like hypocrites practicing moral relativism to stay in power.
- They're left with the choice of admitting the truth and watching GWB* be impeached and the Right lose power...or go along with the ruse and pretend George* is the greatest president in the history of the US.
- But what indeed do we tell our children when they one day find out the truth? What will we tell them when they find out about stolen elections, unfettered corporate corruption, a pathological liar as president and the trading of Democracy for a Corporate State? How will we explain that we were powerless to stop it? Because if we DO have the power to stop it and don't...we must one day beg our children's forgiveness.

1. Nixon was caught stealing before he was ever elected president. |
|
The past is only equated as the media wants it to be, and the media is controlled by big corporations that back the puppets that front for them.
Good advertisement can make or break anyone and that is accomplished by the media. Go figure!

3. Dont forget the Golden Rule! |

They who have the Gold make the rules. Thats not what I believed or what I was taught in school. Its what I have learned first hand living in the USA for 50 years.

4. Just the drunk driving part |
|
is enough to bother me. Of course I do have a step-son who walks with a limp because of a drunk driver so I may be sensitive. Of course Republicans don't think it's a big thing until it happens to them or someone like love.

9. When did Democrats begin to 'accept' this type of double-standard... |
|
...as politics as usual? At what point did we allow GOP draft dodgers and Chickenhawks to question OUR service to country and patriotism without shoving their hypocrisy back in their faces?

11. the message is: The ends justify the means |
|
even now, Bush is saying "I did what was right for the American people" (in his Diane Sawyer interview when asked about the nonexistence of those WMD's).
He's saying "hey, getting rid of Saddam was a good thing and it DOESN'T MATTER HOW I DID IT"
This is the most disturbing aspect of these people.
This is the message "the children" (which includes most adults) will be taking home.
