1. Other
I'm a graduate student, so I don't have much income of my own, but don't have too many expenses either. Not sure how much my mom makes, but its probably under $50,000.

20. LOL! Been there, done that!
Now we're higher due only to my resuming an abandoned career after emptying the nest. :)

5. Man - that picture of Carville...
he looks like Mr. Clean after a bar brawl (with the Bounty paper towel guy and the Pine Sol lady, perhaps?)

6. I used to make 6 figures ....
when I married my husband whose income was about the same - then the tech industry went to hell and now his is our main income. Doesn't do much for my self-esteem except that I keep looking for opportunities and won't give up - that's why we need a pres for US!

7. your poll is flawed.
20,000 to 40,000 is too big of a bracket to be meaningful. not to mention that 40,000 in NYC is poverty while in rural PA it's almost middle class.

12. yes it does matter and is one of the basic inequities of most tax plans
someone in NYC is living as working poor and deserves our assistance more than someone living in rural PA in a middle class lifestyle.

16. Cost-of-living is always an issue...
Salaries in NYC are higher than elesewhere on average. Though those making under a certain minimum shouldn't have any tax liability.

17. poll is fine
as there are no generalities being drawn from it other than the ones you dream up.

actually it does give an idea of generally well off v generally of more humble means of the DU family.

re your signature: last time we won the White House without a southern accent in the top spot was Kennedy. Clearly we need Edwards to get the job done !

Go Edwards, bitchin good job at the last debate !

8. Not very much
A bagger at a grocery store living with his father and going to college is sort of stuck in that category.

10. 4 Years as a secretary
under $20,000/year...

Take that with a grain of salt. This is Iowa, after all...

But, my advice, if you can avoid working for/with a rich Republican, avoid it like the plague.
