Help me answer this email
A friend of mine sent me the following plea. I think he wants actual hyperlinks and things like that. Any help would be appreciated.

My dad, a very intelligent person, plans to vote for bush in the next election. I can't fathom how he could do this but I suspect that it may stem emotionally from a connection to israel. Whatever the reason, I have made a series of arguments to him in an attempt to expose the flaws in his reasoning, but I need some unbiased articles/sources to make these points more concrete. I know
you're the man when it comes to shit like this, so I hope you can help.

Here are a few of the points I need addressed (and maybe you can offer a few more)

(1) Bush "winning" the election fair and square. I.e. what really
happened to the recount and was it really blocked. Is bush really our "fairly elected president?"
(2) Pre-emptive war -- does it really support our interests?
(3) "Lying" in general, and about the rational to go to war in
particular (which most trusting people like myself took in good faith and argued in favor of the war, only later to learn that we were deceived).
(4) Domestic Policy changes instituted by the administration re the
environment, his "no child left behind" policy, medicare, homeland
security
(5) Degrading of american values and freedoms specifically re the
Patriot Act.

I'm sure there are many more. I need DEFINITIVE sources here, not
bull$$$$ democratic propaganda (for which there are many site on the
web to turn).

Thanks

2. you're looking for opinions
all these questions are opinion questions, not actually related to facts. ergo, anything can be dismissed as "bulls''t propaganda." which leads me to believe your friend isn't really interested.

THE CASE OF IRAQ AND THE EXPORT-IMPORT BANK
Henry B. Gonzalez, (TX-20)
(House of Representatives - February 24, 1992)

It's from the congressional record.
If your friend's dad is truly interested in the facts he should be
willing to do some research.
