bush / hitler
so an ad was submitted to the bushin30seconds contest that compared george bush to hitler.

and now the right wing are up in arms even though they constantly refer to hillary clinton as hitler and often times refer to women as feminazis.

the right wing are morally bankrupt, and once again i'm stunned at how utterly disingenuous they can be.

but this quote was forwarded to me, and needless to say it was written by a right wing politician from a by-gone era (but could easily be used to describe the scare tactics of the bush administration):

"...it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country."

--Hermann Goering at the Nuremberg Trials (Commander of the Luftwaffe, President of the Reichstag, Prime Minister of Police Gestapo, Hitler's 2nd man in the Third Reich & Marshal of the German Empire)

3. considering bush's family history
...with grandpappy actually assisting Hitler's concentration camps with money funnelled via union ntl bank, I'm not surprised. With Poppy then heading the US CIA later, we have the makings of a modern-day 'hitler' replete with all the contacts, background, family history, and training necessary to carry out the same type of agenda.

Methinks that the reason bu$h's brain (Karl Rove) complained so loudly is that it's just too close to the truth - too close to accurate - too close to the 'nerve' for his comfort. The comparisons are too similar and they know it. They've been caught red-handed so to speak.

Methinks they doth protesteth too much...

;)
