6. pic of Clark and JINSA board...was Clark on the board of directors?
Edited on Fri Jan-09-04 10:34 AM by ElsewheresDaughter

JINSA communicates with the Jewish Community and the national security establishment on behalf of the role Israel can and does play in bolstering American interests, as well as the link between American defense policy and the security of Israel.

There are lots of ex-military on the Board of Advisers if you look at their website. Wes Clark is not one of them. The photo you posted is not given a date. Perhaps it was taken when he advised JINSA during a 75 minute briefing regarding Kosovo in 1999 as Supreme Allied Commander of NATO....

11. sorry....
I am a lttle "candidate sensitive" I guess. If I thought for a minute he was involved with the PNAC crowd I would be working against him. I love the sound of that ticket too! ;)

3. Are they Israeli or American?
Then again, that question strikes at the heart of the matter, doesn't it?

gets its funding from Isreal which has a US face Washington address

JINSA has a Two Fold Mandate

1. To educate the American public about the importance of an effective U.S. defense capability so that our vital interests as Americans can be safeguarded; and

2. To inform the American defense and foreign affairs community about the important role Israel can and does play in bolstering democratic interests in the Mediterranean and the Middle East.

About JINSA

The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) is a non-profit, non-partisan educational organization committed to explaining the need for a prudent national security policy for the United States, addressing the security requirements of both the United States and the State of Israel, and strengthening the strategic cooperation relationship between these two great democracies.

Founded as a result of the lessons learned from the 1973 Yom Kippur War, JINSA communicates with the national security establishment and the general public to explain the role Israel can and does play in bolstering American interests, as well as the link between American defense policy and the security of Israel.

9. similar to PNAC mandate
"The Project for the New American Century is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to a few fundamental propositions: that American leadership is good both for America and for the world; that such leadership requires military strength, diplomatic energy and commitment to moral principle; and that too few political leaders today are making the case for global leadership.

The Project for the New American Century intends, through issue briefs, research papers, advocacy journalism, conferences, and seminars, to explain what American world leadership entails. It will also strive to rally support for a vigorous and principled policy of American international involvement and to stimulate useful public debate on foreign and defense policy and America's role in the world.

William Kristol, Chairman"

Isn't it just weird for a group from one nation to 'educate' the citizens and/or government of another nation on matters of national security and defense?
Isn't it even more weird when there are several of such groups all from the same nation?
I mean, we don't see many, let's say Portugese thinktanks educating Americans do we? And how many foreign groups are there to educate Israel on such matters?
