More Vanity Plate Decissions
Soo..... after living in Montana for 2 years, I find out I have to get Montana plates. I didn't realize that at first because the car I drive belongs to my folks, and I thought that since they live in Washington, I could keep the Washington plates. Oh well...

I am going to get Museum of the Rockies plates:

And only can use six letters. I had thought of the following, but am somewhat unsatisfied with them:

DNOBOY
DNOGUY
FRODO

ya..... Any suggestions?

2. well ya see....
that has eight letters, which is two more than they allow. I guess I could use a magic marker, but that will probably get me pulled over (for writing on my plate, not for the message (I hope)).

3. You're Lucky

Here in Louisiana we recently lost all of our specialty plates. We had some awesome ones too. Why? Because there was this big push a couple of years ago by pro-life groups for a "Choose Life" plate. The courts stonewalled several times before they relented and allowed that unconstitutional plate. The controversy ran so deep and bitter that, when a new decision disallowed the pro-life plates yet again, the state decided to eliminate all specialty plates (99 percent of which were completely apolitical). What a racket.

5. that's completely lame
Montana actually has a lot of very cool specialty plates:

I think there are so many because the standard plate which was introduced in 2000 is so increadibly lame and boring:

Compared to the previous plates:

9. Mississippi has "Choose Life" plates, also...

doesn't look like anyone is fighting it. The ACLU has been kind of impotent here since Gail Chadwick, who was a great ACLU director, left for other employment. She was the single most hated woman in the state.

Maybe the "Choose life" plate here eventually will go down the tube the way it has in several other states.

7. I'd go with DINBOY
on the Museum of the rockies plate. With second choices D1NBOY, DINB0Y (That's a zero for the letter 'o') and D1NB0Y (again with the zero), it gives you 4 possibles instead of one, and they'll all look the same.
