Norton Anti-Virus Question... |
|
I ran a system check with Norton Anti-Virus, which found 32 at risk files, however when I went to quarantine/delete these files, 23 of them were "delete failed"
If I click on "filename" it gives me the directory where these files are, do I have to delete these files manually?
I know it sounds like I'm almost answering my own question, however the last time I went deleting files, I just want to be sure...Thanks!

1. most likely the files were actively in use |

sometimes these files have to be deleted in a certain order, or enough time has to be given to allow the viral process to die before remaining files can be deleted.
manually deleting or just running the anti-virus software a second time usually does the trick.
sometimes you actually have to reboot and try again.
