Responce from Republican Candidate I e-mailed |
|
Edited on Sat May-01-04 05:44 PM by Neo Progressive
Here is my original e-mail:
Checking out your website since I first e-mailed you, I decided to listen to Bill Cobey's radio commercials. After listening to the plethora of commercials designed to sound like actual news pieces, which is such a remarkably stupid idea that whoever came up with it should be fired and sued, I was wondering: is Bill Cobey actually FOR anything? I mean seriously. All I've heard from Mr. Cobey is:
- he's against 1 second of accidental nudity during a football game - he's against homosexual couples being married - he's against corporate welfare, according to the "Government Handouts" commercial you have on the site - he's against corporate welfare, according to the "Changing North Carolina" commercial you have on the site - he's against corporate welfare, according to the "Another Easley Scandal" commercial you have on the site - he's against corporate welfare, according to the "Confronting Evil in Iraq" commercial you have on the site.
So please, tell me Cobey for Governor, what exactly is your candidate for? It's awfully hard to support someone whose platform is one of "he stinks, and here's why."
Here is their responce:
Thanks for taking the time to write.
We have issued dozens of press releases on issues upon which Bill stands. Currently that section of the website is down and only lists 3. However, if you visit our site within a week, they will all be back up.You may click on the "In the News" link and it will take you there.
it's obviously a well run campaign :eyes:
I say the corporate welfare thing four times, because four of the commercial links, with varying times and titles, lead to the exact same commercial.

No actual answer, just a platitude or a brush-off or a whiny little nothing about how "I've already spelled all this out to you repeatedly".
