He's Carrie Fisher's father! And Debbie has led a much happier life than Liz...not defending Eddie, but I did love to hear him sing "Oh, My Papa," back in the day.

I was a kid when she and Eddie divorced. I even remember when Liz Taylor was hospitalized and wasn't expected to live. I think it was 1959.
In those days, there wasn't TV as we have today. And, they didn't cover "celebs". There were only movie magazines like "Photoplay", etc.
Ah, the good ole' days.
