Only the cat knows for sure.

However, there are viable alternatives to the Copenhagen interpreataion, such as Bohm's interpretation which implies that the cat is definitely alive, or definitely dead before we open the box. We just don't know which until the box is opened.

Now what I really want to know about is Scroedinger's lotto ticket...
