I know women sometimes get "peri-menopausal" in their 30s, but 25 is too early for hot flashes and night sweats.

4. Could be mild thyroid disease |
|
Pretty prevalent in adult women, even youngsters like yourself. Ask the doc for a TSH and Free T4 to see if your thyroid is acting up.
Good luck ... and give us followup please!

No, this is not normal at 25. There can be a lot of causes, none of them pleasant, all of them treatable.
Good luck.

|
TIME.
I've always had night sweats.
Those of us gals with higher hormone levels are prone to this. Merely mention it the next time you're in for your pap schmeer, talk with the doc, she'll re-assure you.

Women reach menopause at different times, so the hormone fluctuations begin at different times. Some may be completely done by their late 30's to around 40, so it would seem conceivable for perimenopause symptoms to begin in her 20's. I'm in my early 30's and the women in my family tend to be fertile for a long time (like mid-50's), so I don't have anything close to that personally. If you have any problems or other symptoms, you can always head to the Gyn for a check of your hormone levels.
