DU LBN feed on My Yahoo!

I just found this out ... My Yahoo! now supports RSS Headlines. :bounce:

If you have an account with Yahoo, you don't need a newsreader to view the DU newsfeed, you can use your "My Yahoo" homepage.

Go to http://my.yahoo.com and sign in to your account.

You can add RSS support to your My Yahoo homepage here. Click on the yellow "Add It" button and a section for RSS headlines will now appear on your homepage.

Now you can add the DU newsfeed.
- Go back to your My Yahoo homepage - you'll see the RSS headlines section.
- Click on "Edit" - you'll see a box to enter a URL.
- Type in the DU newsfeed URL - http://www.democraticunderground.com/rss/lbn_feed.php
- Click "Search" and DU headlines will now be in RSS section of your My Yahoo homepage.
- You can set the display options (number of headlines, summaries, etc.) by clicking the RSS Headlines "Edit" button.

Oh and as long as you guys are doing this, PLEASE add Counterbias to your Yahoo page as well. Just click on this:

I just happened to stumble on to it last night. A friend of mine didn't want to use a separate newsreader for RSS, so she asked me if I could track down an online reader for her when I had some free time. That's when I found out about Yahoo and RSS - it came up when I did a Google search, LOL! (Yahoo may have RSS, but Google still RULES!)

By the way, I have a few friends who aren't really into politics and are too lazy to check out DU even though I've been nagging them forever. So ... I told them about the LBN newsfeed and the Yahoo homepage. I figure there's a good chance they'll add it because it takes almost no effort and it will stop me from bugging them about reading DU, LOL! Hopefully, when they open up their browser to check email, headlines, etc, a DU headline will catch their eye and they'll begin the "wake up" process. ;)
