Speaking as an Avalanche fan and also a hockey fan, I'm torn. I'm glad Detroit won't be advancing any further on, but I was looking foreword to the offshoot possibility of a CO/DET western conference finals

I say good riddance to Detroit.
And a simple and juvenile "ha ha" will suffice.

I still don't see the Avs coming back and beating the Sharks. I believe only three teams have come back from being down 0-3 in NHL history?
I'm rooting for the Flames. C'mon, no one thought they'd make it this far!

The 1975 Islanders did it last. The 1942 Maple Leafs are the other. Colorado has the players to pull it off but it's nearly impossible. You need both skill and luck in equal measure, the refs calling the clutching and grabbing would help too. I've never seen a player have to carry guys on his back constantly the way Forsberg does.
