And for the record: the accident was NOT MY FAULT! The person next to me appraently thought the only thing she needed to do before making a lane change was to turn on her blinker. Who needs all that nonsense about checking for oncoming vehicles, anyway?

And if I hadn't slammed on my brakes and swerved, the accident would have been A LOT WORSE!!!

I was yielding to traffic on Wednesday when somebody rear-ended me, smashing up my bumper and part of my driver's side tail light.

Anyway, I pointed to the closest parking lot so we could exchange info, he nods and starts to follow me. (NOTE: We couldn't settle things on the street because iit was a busy thoroughfare during rush hour and we would've tied up traffic, and there was no nearby shoulder.)

As soon as I pull into the parking lot, he twists around me and zooms off. I got out of my car, chasing him and screaming, trying to get a license.

I failed, and boy am I pissed. My insurance will cover, but I might be looking at a $500 deductible. $250 if I'm lucky, but they told me to count on the $500.

Cripes.
