Heart of the Beholder-- Movie Update

Didn't know how many of you had heard about this movie. I can't remember where I first heard about it, but it was several months ago.

The story deals with a young couple near St. Louis in the 80s who were harrassed, driven out of business, and their lives ruined by fundies who were pissed that they dared carry "Last Temptation of Christ" at their chain of video stores. The fundies blackmailed the prosecutor of the case into throwing the book at these people.

It sounded like an amazing project so I signed up for their e-mail update. They have now managed to cast the movie, and are still looking for funding. Check the Website for details. Also, they're looking for extras around the L.A. area.

Ya'll check it out. I can't wait to see this thing when it's released.

that's where I heard about it.

It sounds very good. This is a great wedge issue to use against the republicans, to split their fundies from their libertarians...

Hopefully getting one group or the other to just stay home on election day.
