10. Will Pitt said it best on Tuesday,
though, at Kent State's May 4 commemoration, when he ended his speech with "this time, tin soldiers and WE are coming!"

5. I got a ticket from a state trooper for causing a "collision" when my car
bumped a car at tollbooth that suddenly stopped going forward after paying its toll (no warning or brakelights). No personal injury, no damage to either vehicle. But the fact that my car touched another car in Ohio means that it is legally a collision (notwithstanding it was caused by the other driver). 2 points and $224.00 fine.

6. I hear ya, this shivering Northeast
Ohioan was just thinking longingly of the beautiful sunny 80-degree day yesterday and the NOVEMBER-like day today!!!

Of course, there's the fact that the entire state is under the death grip of republicans who don't know what the hell they're doing and who can't get off their ass to take care of anything at all unless it's falling all over themselves to pass the ban on gay marriage. Yeah, that's real leadership for you. Drive the state into the ground so that it's no. 40-something among the states in almost every area, fuck up the schools and colleges and economy, drive people away in droves (especially the younger, well-educated professionals), etc., etc., but the important things is to ban gay marriages. Whew, I feel so much better now that gays can't get married here!

And weren't they amongst the last states to ditch the 55 speed limit?

Jerry Springer was mayor of Cincinati.

There is NO "Flemm Building" in Cincinati..

On the OTHER hand, Bratwurst in Columbus' "German Village" section kicks major ass!

It's how you say good morning to someone in Japanese, albeit in a very, very informal fashion. You wouldn't use it on your boss, for instance.

23. Welllll...
Yes, they do lots of idiotic "people can return underwear to the store after they've worn it - hidden camera proof!" type nonsense, but they're the only local news station that's actually making a serious effort to investigate and bust on City Hall malfeasance, too. So I've got mixed feelings about 'em. I think NewsChannel 5 is the sorriest - the way they suck up to worst-mayor-ever Campbell is reprehensible. They're total parrots of the Plain Dealer.
