A girlfriend had a cat named Myles. He was named after Myles Davis.
She bought him over to see me once. He was absolutely beautiful. All white, with green eyes.
She has several out of control dogs.
She wasn't home, and one of her relatives left the patio door open.
One of the dogs got in, and killed Myles.
She told me about it today.
She came home to find Myles lying on the floor, gasping his last breath.
And she had the nerve to say that the dog was "only playing".
I don't know who I am more upset with -- her or the dog.
I had to get this out.
I keep seeing Myles laying all bloody on the floor gasping for breath.
All because she does not have control over her animals.
When and if I introduce a dog into my family, that dog will know that my cats were here before him, and will be here after him.

I feel so bad for you. I cannot understand your friend's off-the-cuff comment about it either. It's scary. Poor Myles!

4. this is horrible...my cat is the same size as my dog. I don't let my cat |

out...he is too trusting of dogs in general. And I wouldn't introduce any bigger dog. Both my cat and dog are just "snack size" for bigger dogs.

5. Sorry to hear that, Catwoman |

Poor Myles.
Some people shouldn't be allowed to own animals. They have no clue. I always feel sorry for pets because they have no say in where they go and who they end up with.
Some cats win the lottery and get a great servant like yourself while others are unlucky enough to get bad ones. Life isn't fair.
Hang in there, CW.
