breath into that bag? hold your breath? drink some water?
what works? (breath-holding for a count of 27, with exhale thru the nose seems to do it.)
what do you do to cure hiccoughs?

3. Here's what used to work for my family |
|
Fill a glass with water...And here's the trick...drink out of the OPPOSITE side of the glass....In other words , your chin will be over the glass when you're drinking....I havent had hiccoughs for a long time, but I know it used to work every time!!

I've been doing this for many years and without exception, it works. People are always so surprised that such a simple solution will get rid of them.

5. I regulate my breathing. |
|
I don't know how I do it, but it works.
Teaspoon of white sugar often works, if all else fails. The family doctor told me about that one when I was a teenager -- he said he thought it might affect the messages that get kinked up in your esophagus that cause hiccups to happen. I don't know, it may even be a mind game -- but it does work for some people.

8. Forget it--this works every time |
|
Take a deep, deep breath--
then very slowly let the air out making a 'KKKK' sound far back in your throat.
Do it three times.
Hiccups GONE!

as stated earlier, from the ooposite side of the glass. if not that then drink it continuously, forgetting to breathe, until you nearly black out

Drink a glass of water upside down. This means, take a glass of water, bend over, and drink the whole thing very slowly from the opposite side of the glass. It controls the breathing and works for me everytime.:-)
