Holy Cow. (Okay, it was the Padres, but a W is a W as long as it isn't that W.)

1. Oh man...I'll never look at the W flag the same way again! |
|
Can't they change the W flag to V (for victory)?

I'd never thought of it that way before until I just typed it. Maybe all these years it's been a subliminal message. Huh??? :tinfoilhat:

Todd Walker treating you guys, I'm a Red Sox fan who hasn't paid much attention to the rest of the league so far this season, still don't know why Boston let him go.....

But it was getting a bit scary there with Farnsworth. I think he has been disappointing lately. He almost changes the momentum when we are winning.
I know he has a pretty good overall record this year, but lately he sucks.

6. My sister and her husband were at the game... |
|
they took a long weekend in SD (from Vegas) to see the Cubs play and get away. They went to the zoo. I'm so jealous!
She called me twice from the game. She was screaming at Farnsworth... and so was the crowd.

I would love to be in SD at a Cubs game. Two more weeks before school is out, then I can take a trip.

9. Being a Cubs fan doesn't work that way. |

It isn't something you try on and discard, like an article of clothing.
Of course we get frustrated. Last year was the worst. I was there when the billy goat's latest incarnation, Bartman, turned the momentum against us. I thought we were actually going to be in the world series in my lifetime!
But I could never stop being a Cubs fan. It would be the same as not believing anything good could happen ever again. It would be like conceding that these repukes are going to stay in power forever.
I am a Cubs fan for some of the same reasons I am a Democrat. I know the world can be a better place.
