Who's daughter was a republican. I made the mistake of telling her a got a part-time job working for ACT. So she fired me. Which didn't matter until ACT decided my area was so republican they weren't going to spend money on it and canceled training. Pretty funny huh?

Why? Because in many states an employer can be guilty of wrongful termination if the reason for the termination is "against public policy." That may apply in your state. It is a great argument if you want to make a stink.
Just think if every republican employer fired every democrat and every democrat employer fired every republican! The result would be chaos. And, who would call that freedom?
Of course, it could be a big hassle for you to pursue this, but all I am suggesting is that you call an attorney to discuss over the phone.
