Poll question: Best canceled Comedy Central show
Edited on Sun May-16-04 12:10 PM by LostInAnomie
Comedy Central has had some visionary programs in the past only to cancel them. Which of them do you think was the best?

3. I thought it was pretty funny too...
... especially when he and 40 would hump things right before the break.

4. Did they really cancel it or just run out of episodes?

2. I chose Strangers...
... although MST3K was a close second... I decided that, since MST3K started elsewhere and finished elsewhere, Strangers gets the nod.

I heard they're making a movie...

6. Ditto!
I wouldn't call it visionary and sometimes it was just so stupid.

But, boy, do I miss it now.

14. My feelings too ...
MST3K wasn't truely cancelled. It shouldn't be in the list at all.

7. TV Funhouse
I know the guys in Hootie and the Blowfish, and I was NEVER jealous of their success until they got to appear with the Anipals!

8. "The Critic"

To Comedy Central's credit, the show had previously been cancelled on both ABC and Fox. But it's testament to the hilarity of this show that it could be resurrected twice before finally biting it.

12. Exit 57 and Viva Variety
Exit 57 was sketch comedy with a great cast including Stephen Colbert, Paul Dinello and Amy Sedaris. I could swear they had Nicole Sullivan too but I could be wrong.

Viva Variety was a takeoff on cheesy Euro variety shows starring Reno 911's Kerri Kenney and Thomas Lennon, with Michael Ian Black as Johnny Bluejeans. It was uneven but at times very funny.

16. I miss Viva Variety.
I loved the "Woodchuck in a Box" bit, and Johnny Blue Jean's hickey maker.

That show hasn't aired in about 3 weeks- is it gone? If so, I would vote for that.
