Kerry wins! So, will the infighting be worse on DU? |
|
I'm a relative latecomer to DU, having joined just before the primary races heated up. I've seen some changes, though!
So what do you think? Can we all just get along post-November (assuming a Democratic victory) or will things be even worse (which is my bet)?
And what will we argue about?

1. With Bush out, people won't be so violent |

But we'll still argue as much as always, if not more. Bush tends to drive people absolutely nuts, Kerry on the other hand is more of a soporific. :D

Not criticize him, not question him and not second guess him, but support him.

9. I for one will question the hell out of him... |

If his actions warrant questioning.

So people who voted for Bush when he ran as a moderate shouldn't have been questioning him?

8. The infighting will and should continue |
|
There are a number of policies Kerry has supported that I don't support even though I have been one of his vocal advocates. When Clinton won..Democrats took a vacation while everything we stood for was slowly being dismantled..debate..heated or otherwise is good..and it has been missing from public policy.
I favor people holding Kerry's feet to the fire. He is the one who states he is better for America....it is incumbent on him to prove it to those who are weary.
There will always be extreme positions. Some meritorious, others not. Viva la difference.
From a Kerry supporter.

10. Once Kerry wins, I will be after his ass every single day |

I'll support him against stupid winger attacks involving blue dresses or whatever, but homeboy better be prepared to hear from me and my readers about exactly where, when and how he has to get a whole lot of things done, like, yesterday.

This is where we all fell down on the job back in 1993. No one is allowed to check out next January. We elect him...that makes it our responsibility to make sure he does the job we want him to do.
