How many miles a week do you drive? |
|
Edited on Tue May-18-04 06:19 PM by ringmastery
I live about a mile away from a major shopping center where I do 95% of my shopping.
I work 5 miles away from my home.
During an average week, I probably drive 60-70 miles and with a small economy car that gets 30+ miles per gallon. The price of gas isn't a huge issue for me. I can get by on $5 of gas a week.
How much do you drive and pay for gas?

for a 5 day work week. Right now, paying a little less than $2 per gallon. Luckily, my car gets great gas mileage. Hoping my husband will create a hybrid soon out of one of our old junkers.

8. No traffic. I live in heaven. |
|
well, fairly close to it-Newton Co AR is just far away from every town. The commute goes through Boxley Valley with the wild Buffalo River. I usually see more wild animals than cars-elk, deer, egret, heron, ducks, and the occasional bald eagle.

Edited on Tue May-18-04 06:26 PM by achtung_circus
a busy week, 1,500 miles. Gas is .90 Cdn $/litre = doing that quickly in my head =$2.44 US gallon
But I drive a work truck and have work-supplied gas cards.

15. On my driving job alone, I do anywhere from 100-250 miles a day. |
|
And I work a five-and-a-half-day week. And that doesn't even take into account all the driving I do when I'm on my own time!
Let's just say, when I'm not working, I try to drive as little as possible....

16. 150 miles per week, best case scenario |
|
At 26.9 MPG, I spend about $20 every other week or so.
So far, I'm lucky. If it gets worse...

24. about 100 miles a week |
|
unless I have a special event to drive to.
I live about 3 miles from work. All shopping is done on the way there or back. Including gas stops. I drive out to see my horses as often as possible; minimum twice a week, more when the work schedule allows. That's 20 miles round trip. So 100 miles is 3 horse trips, 5 trips to work, and an extra 10 miles thrown in for any other errands. My old toyota truck gets about 22 mpg. Not great, but not terrible, either. I fill the tank about twice a month.

I pride myself on getting through each month since moving to Minneapolis on just one tank of gas, even during the bus strike.
