I can hear those 2 in my head, letter and note perfect, beginning to end, and I still love them.

2. You can't pick just one... but I gave it a try... Still the song.. |
|
I would have no problems picking, "A Day in the Life" isn't on the list. I picked, "All You Need Is Love."

3. Wow, the American public is dumb. |
|
I love "Come Together" and "We Can Work It Out."
Don't care so much for the others.
There were LOADS of great Beatles songs in the '65-'70 period, but these aren't they.
Voted for "Come Together" ('cause I think WCWIO will get more love overall in this poll).

Some of the best mid- and late-period Beatles tunes never came out as singles. For instance, nothing from RUBBER SOUL, SGT. PEPPER, and THE WHITE ALBUM was ever put out as a 45. But those LPs certainly sold well, and they sell to this day.
Although a lot of my polls are based on the Billboard charts, by no means do I use them as a barometer of the best music!

5. "Come Together" ("Let It Be" is a close second) |
|
Aerosmith almost ruined "Come Together" for me, though. I hate Aerosmith so much...

|
It's pretty damned funky! I think you'd like it.

7. All classics, but 'All You Need is Love' just IS 1967. |
|
Such a perfect song for the Summer of Love.

17. Why not include songs they wrote for other groups? |
|
Please lock me away, and not allow the day. Here inside where I hide from my loneliness. Song wrote for group I cant think of.
All of badfingers songs were written by them.
If you want here it is...only hit for whoever that was.
Pick a favorite seems silly since they changed music as we know it and handed out songs freely.
Best Beatles song... And in the End...The love you take...Is equal to the love you make.

10. "We Can Work It Out" b/w "Day Tripper" |
|
Both sides were listed as the "A" side.
Honorable mention to "Paperback Writer" b/w "Rain".
Flame me if you will, but I truly believe their singles output diminished in quality after that point.
(quickly puts on asbestos Nehru jacket and Beatle boots...)

16. Not one vote for "Get Back?" |
|
That really surprises me. I think it's a great song (even if my vote went to "Paperback Writer")!
