The best: G&R's restaurant in El Paso, TX, also La Hacienda in El Paso.
The best Mexican food in the world is in EL Paso - no need to go elsewhere.
It's one of the things I really miss about my hometown.

We got a little thang called Taco Bueno, which is like Taco Bell but can be a whole lot better, more often than not.
Having said that, I also gotta say that Taco Bell TASTES GREAT!

But Taco Bell does make the most money out of all those restuarants so it was only fair to list them.x(

12. I MISS Filibertos!!!!! |
|
That was dorm grub, Fili's and a place over on Southern and McClintock that closed in about 1994..... I can't even remember the name, but they had the best tortillas in the Valley back then, and the world's best pico de gallo.
Since I moved up here, I can't get good Mexican unless I make it myself. We've got a filiberto's style place that's close, but no cigar.
And it's not worth the sinus headaches, the bronchial congestion, and the headaches of dealing with my cold-warring, divorced parents to go back to the Valley (and especially not this time of year!) for a restaurant.
Champ - are you a current ASU student?
Pcat, class of 96.

They have good chips & salsa. I know they are a bit generic, but the food alwways tastes very fresh. I also like being able to look into the kitchen and watch the cooks at work, which I can at the one nearest me.
I would vote for home made, but I'm the only one who cooks in my house, and food always tastes better to me when someone else is doing the cooking.
