1. Zwiegle's White Hots (from Upstate NY) |
|
They are white, made from pork. With French's yellow mustard and onions all over them, they are the best!!
I have 'em shipped in dry ice to me in Florida.

I think EVERY hot dog is the best. I love hot dogs. If I could marry hot dogs, I would. I love them every way you can make them. I LOVE HOT DOGS.
But, I really like Hormel Beef Wranglers. ;)

5. I like hebrew national, but if you are grilling even sugardales taste... |
|
great.
I intoduced one of my friends to Hebrew national and there was much hemming and hawing about the price, but after we grilled them and were bloated with hot-doggie goodness it was admitted that they were worth the extra price. Similarly, I was grilling some lunch at my brother's new house while he painted the other day and even though they were just regular oscar mayers it was good. hotdogs in the kitchen aren't as good though.

They put everything and the kitchen sink in it. All for US$ 0.65. We endearingly call them "Big Rottens" down here.

It's technically not a good brand of hot dog because it has fillers & stuff in it, BUT it has a smoked flavor that is really delicious. Yumm!

And varied franks from smaller sausage-makers such as Milwaukee's Usinger's and Klement's. And, of course, any dogs I pick up at Cleveland's West Side Market.
But of those listed? Nathan's no question.
It's the natural casing. No dog is truly great without that crunch of real intestine.
