What will be the theme song for "CSI:New York"?
I think they have run out of tunes by The Who for the shows. So "Squeeze Box", "My Generation", "I Can See For Miles" just don't seem to fit. "I Can't Explain" wouldn't make any sense.

I thought that "CSI:Miami" should have had the theme song "Suspicious Minds" by Elvis.

What do you think about "Suspicious Minds" for "CSI:New York"? Or maybe "I'm Looking For My Man" by Velvet Underground? It's a drug seeking song, but the title works.

1. I bet they
stick with the Who. Maybe Baba O'Riley...Behind Blue Eyes?

It's a theme at this point.

4. "Teenage Wasteland" might be cool.
"Behind Blue Eyes" could work, too.

2. "Eminence Front"?
"It's a put-on..."

I don't know if that's any more logical than any other choice -- it's just one of my favorite Who songs.

7. OK, it's The Who! Any bets on "The Seeker"?
"I looked under chairs
I looked under tables"

I can see it now.

"I'm Free" won't do it.
"A Legal Matter"?

10. Good one.
That might be a tad overused, though - having been heard in American Beauty and The Limey.

13. I miss the days when creativity was used to make theme songs
I think the 80s started the trend of using a song (albeit popular ones at the time) as a theme song. These days they're more into old music when they're not using current pop music.

Sad.

20. Word Up, by Cameo
;-)

Your pretty ladies around the world
Got a weird thing to show you
So tell all the boys and girls
Tell your brother, your sister and your mamma too
we're about to go down
And you know just what to do
Wave your hands in the air like you don't care
Gilde by the people as they start to look and stare
Do your dance, do your dance, do your dance quick mamma
Come on baby tell me what's the word

Word up everybody says
When you hear the call you've got to get it underway
Word up it's the code word
No matter where you say it you know that you'll be heard

Now all you sucker DJ's who think you're fly
There's got to be a reason and we know the reason why
Why you put on thoso airs and you act real cool
Got to realise that you're acting like fools
If there's music we can use it
You're free to dance
We don't have the time for psychological romance
No romance, no romance, no romance for me mamma
Come on baby tell me what's the word

Word up everybody says
When you hear the call you've got to get it underway

Dial L for love, Dial L for love, Dial L for love
W.O.R.D. UP, W.O.R.D. UP, W.O.R.D. UP, W.O.R.D. UP

Yeh you sucker DJ's who think you're fly
There's got to be a reason and we know the reason why
Why you put on thoso airs and you act real cool
Got to realise that you're acting like fools
No romance, no romance, no romance for me mamma
Come on baby tell me what's the word

Word up everybody says
When you hear the call you've got to get it underway
Word up it's the code word
No matter where you say it you know that you'll be heard

Word up everybody says
