Anybody here use Slashdot?

I find their user interface incomprehensible *blushes*.

I'm trying to set it so that I can see all the posts but it keeps telling me that some are below my level.

1. From the home page.

Preferences (it's under your username) -> Comments

In Display Mode, select Flat.

In Threshold, select "-1: Uncut and Raw"

Click "Save" (bottom of page).

3. Lotsa bugs

Sometimes the page will load all wrong, you hit reload and it comes up right. Or not.

5. Reading everything on Slashdot???

Are you insane??? -1 uncut and raw will bring you Dolphin sex, foot fetishes, some of the most amazingly racist and homophobic crap you will ever see, dirty old men lusting after young teenagers...

A lot of the 0 and -1 rated stuff is "poke out your own eyes with a stick" sort of stuff, and there are probably sexually explicit posts about doing exactly that too.

BTW, the slashdot interface does make a lot of sense once you figure out what slashdot is trying to do, and what you want slashdot to do.
