1. Well,
it ain't gettin' better any time soon. We've got another front moving through right now (I'm west of Madison) - lots of thunder, and the rain is getting heavier again.

The weather report tonight said that it will rain through tomorrow, with the heaviest storms mid to late afternoon, and then it might let up Monday during the day, just to fire up again Monday night! :(

My poor horses are sick of it, the dogs hate it, and I'm getting grumpy!

2. Man
I'm in Ohio and i've been seeing wheather reports in Wisconsin, New York and Nebraska that say thunderstorms. I was listening to a radio station out of Fort Wayne, Indiana today and they were forecasting thunderstorms, but we're high and dry here. They're hitting all around us.

5. Most of it is south of me.

I'm in Sheboygan.

But in Dubuque and Prarie Du Chien they are getting nailed right now, and it's heading west.

On the Milwaukee channel 12 news they showed all the areas around Milwaukee that are practically submerged.

Blech.

6. I know we're waterlogged...
Too much water and not enough places to go with it.

Unless, of course, you're the Metropolitan Sewage District...then you just dump it back in the lake.

7. Goody!
I'll be on the other side of the lake over Memorial Day, about 40 miles north of Muskegon, visiting my mother. I won't even attempt to put my toes in the water of the big lake.

Mom's about had it with the rain. She lives on the side of a hill and there are gulleys along each side of her driveway.

Some of the farmers in the area are having trouble planting, and others are watching their sprouting veggie fields drown. The asparagus farmers can't get into their fields to pick every day, either. A little light rain is okay for them, but not the soakers they've been getting. Gerber might have trouble getting enough veggies for strained green beans and squash this year!

10. The right will claim..
The weather channel is the left-wing media claiming the storms are further north then they actually are. This storm was the cause of the bike accident. Our fearless leader fought nature and prevailed.

11. Seen a cicada yet?
How about a few billion?

I'd give anything for a little bug-free rain. It's hot, humid, and cicada-ridden in southwestern Ohio. :D
