Roseblum red Zinfandel - it is quite sweet, but not too bad a wine. My wife loves it, I definitely don't.

...I've had just about every Rosenblum zin, and none of them are sweet.
They have a lot of fruit flavor, but no residual sugar -- hence, no sweetness.

4. Try syra's and shiraz too. |
|
Actually there both the same thing. Boggle Petite Syra is one of my faves.

7. Alright, folks, justgamma asked for a sweet wine, so I'll try to help. |
|
You want a sweet red? Try a port. A nice ruby or vintage character port. I suggest Graham's "Six Grapes" -- it's relatively inexpensive, sweet as honey, and a very good dessert wine, to boot.
The other wines mentioned on this thread are NOT sweet (true, one can make sweet wines out of zinfandel, syrah, or merlot -- but the result is usually something abhorrent like "white zinfandel," which is an abomination to God, nature, and man). People often confuse a pronounced fruit flavor with sweetness, but that is not the case: sweetness is the result of sugar in the wine, and the vast majority of zins, syrahs, and merlots have no residual sugar.
Port, however, has got plenty of sugar.

Malvasia.......they also make white. It is a Sicilian wine. They make the best Malvisia in Lipari an Island off the coast of Milazzo. Look for it. So light and sweet. But it can give a buzz.

or Lambrusco. Pretty cheap too. For Thanksgiving I usually make wine spritzers which is a tall glass with ice and half red wine, some 7up and a lemon or lime slice at the top. Pretty tasty.

Thunderbird!
How's it sold? Good and cold!
What's the price? Thirty twice!
Actually, Mr. Riggs shiraz is pretty good. Thunderbird is useful when you want a low-alcohol concoction to remove wax from your floors.
