So why am I watching a program about plane crashes on the History Channel? |
|
I am already a weinie when it comes to boarding those things...so why not sit and watch and listen. Gee, I need to know that 1100 people have been killed in the past 20 years in commercial airline accidents, that many are due to pilot/crew error.
Yes, I know that I am safer up there, but it still gives me the heebies. Someone change the channel please.

|
Edited on Wed May-26-04 10:30 PM by DemoTex
Okra, like it's cousin cotton, is a heat lovin' plant. The soil temp must be near 80-degrees F for okra to geminate. I just planted my okra last week. It is sprouting.

Yaks have been witnessed attempting to hijack planes, but so far the dogs have always fought them off, and we are not able to say whether a yak would be a safer pilot than a dog.
There may be someone around here with an opinion on the topic though...

21. Not to add to the heebie-jeebies, but |
|
for the past several years I've had some vivid dreams that have led me to believe that I'll probably die in a plane crash. I know what you're thinking, that the way around that is to never board another plane. But, you know, these things have a way of happening no matter what we do to stop them!

30. I think it's perfectly natural to |
|
have both a fascination with and a fear of flying. After all, you're up there 30-40,000 feet in the air with a total stranger in control of the plane. You have no control, and you don't really know what's happening in the cockpit. And if something does go wrong, you're stuck up there. You can't just stop the plane and get out. So it's perfectly reasonable to be afraid of flying.
Of course, when I fly, I HAVE to take Dramamine or the people around me wouldn't be too happy. That shit dopes me up so much that I'm really not all that conscious during a flight, anyway, lol!

tomorrow night at eight. That I cannot bring myself to watch. I remember the front page picture of it flying upside down over the terminal and could not shake the image for weeks. And the commercial tonight brought that back. I wonder why we find ourselves drawn to that?
