My closing date has been backed up some because of the slowness of the mortgage company (although I'm approved). The seller is freaking out. So, I'm not officially in, although I think we'll end up working something out.

the windows are fogging up. The furnace is flaky. The hot water heater is producing rusty water. The roof is peeling up at the edges, and the downspouts are dripping water into the crawlspace.

All that being said, I'll never be able to live in an apartment again. It's wonderful to have your OWN home, despite the work involved. No one to tell you you can't change the locks, paint the walls bright red, put up posters, etc.
