3. "... ron ron ron ..."

That's the name of the song by The Crystals anyway. When Shaun Cassidy re-did it, he may have changed it.

5. ...originally made famous by Lethal Weapon's "Mrs. Sgt. Murtaugh"...

...Darlene Love, of the legendary Phil Spector group "The Crystals."

Amazon lists it as "Da Doo Ron Ron...The Crystals" on the Spector box set "Back To Mono" (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000003BDM/qid=1085717722/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/102-4569308-0608937)

Go here:

http://www.geocities.com/spectropop/hspeccrys.html

and you'll see the original sleeve for their 45 single, spelled "Da Doo Ron Ron."

I know he's a nut, but I love Spector at his peak.

8. Yep, I went through a major Ronettes period earlier in life...
"Walking In The Rain"....."Baby I Love You"...all of 'em...and of course, "Be My Baby."

Ronnie Spector...one of the greatest female voices in the history of Rock & Roll. Darlene Love is another...her "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" still produces a goose bump epidemic every time I hear it.

9. They really had the greatest eyeliner
With props to the Shangri-Las in that department.:D

The Ronettes were amazing. I have a Japanese import of one of their albums kicking around here somewhere. I love them.
