Do you get flak at work if you buy from the competition? |
|
I had a cellphone from the same carrier I work at. Recently, I got a gift certificate from a competing carrier and, since my wifey was cellphone-less, we decided, what the hell. I now use the new one and she uses the one I had.
No flak at work whatsoever. Many people here use cellphones from other operators. Well, I suppose it wouldn't sit that well if I was at the Board of Directors.
Your stories of acceptance or non-acceptance?

I would err towards non-acceptance. Even the image of you having a competitor's product is flat out demoralizing to the rest of your workplace, as well as not sending a message of confidence in your product to customers. I'd be PISSED if I were on a board of directors or CEO.

2. I wasn't the first one, that's why I fell secure |
|
Our immediate boss, specifically, didn't mind at all. Besides... the competition decided to give me a phone for free... my company didn't. Also, I didn't cancel the previous line.

And looting the companies financials. Puh-leassseee what planet are you living on. When I look to buy a product with my money, I buy the best value for my money. Take for example wireless service. I used to work for Verizon Wireless, but I had their service because I knew they had the best coverage. Had AT&T or Cingular had better service, I would have been there in a heart beat.

6. I don't look at it like that at all |
|
But I also don't work for a big business. At my job, the success and failure of the company are directly hinged on my performance, and thus its success is my own. I can imagine it being much different for other jobs. But my opinion is just that - my opinion taken from my point of view. And yours is yours. No need to be rude.

4. In high school I took my prom date out to a nice restaurant... |

...instead of McDonald's where I worked. I think they were fine with it.

7. Yes, Kraft is an inferior product |
|
I mentioned to my boss that I tried the Kraft sharp flavored singles and commented that it did not have as strong of sharp flavor as our premium American brand of cheese. He said that I should have known better than buying an inferior product like Kraft. He said that there was no reason to buy an inferior product when I could buy my quality cheese from the company under $2.00 per pound.
